One thing that drives all Bethel students together is a dedication to the community itself, and a commitment and appreciation for the community. There's a lot of things that we all do together in community that help grow that relationship. For example, each year Bethel College does a service day where every student is involved. We bring in speakers for convocation that emphasize the importance of service of providing what you can to better your environment, to better Bethel College and the community is a part of. There are a lot of different student organizations that many student is welcome to become involved with. There's Diversity Council, the Bethel College community for justice and peace. We have partnerships with churches and parachurch organizations to do disaster relief and that sort of thing as well. Serving the community really is the thresher way. It's, it's who we are and what we do here at Bethel College. Through the service opportunities that Bethel has given me, I have learned so many things and met so many amazing people. I learned how to problem solve with my peers and just having an open mind of doing whatever people need you to do, putting others before yourself.
