Bethel College is the oldest Mennonite college in North America.
Our Mennonite heritage is felt by all our students – whatever their faith background.
Students experience unique Bethel traditions such as fall festival, Christmas Gala, Lighting of the Green, and the Bubbert’s film festival every year.
Herman Bubbert, the namesake for the film festival, is a fictitious character invented by Bethel students over 60 years ago.
When a prank happens on campus – like the baby calf outside the Caf or the apples mysteriously on every light post – we blame Herman Bubbert.
