Global Consciousness

Cross-cultural learning is built into the education requirements at Bethel College.

We believe in the importance of learning from the world around us.

Students can meet this requirement through coursework on campus.

There are also opportunities for students to experience a foreign culture through study abroad and class trips.

Bethel students have studied in Spain, China, India, Ireland, Haiti and many more locations across the globe!

We have specific exchange partnerships with universities in Germany and Mexico.

Our student body is also globally diverse.

We have approximately 40 international students from over 15 nations.

Schedule your in-campus or remote visit to learn more about study abroad opportunities.

For studying abroad, Bethel provides a lot of opportunities. I was able to study abroad in Spain. I was with a host family, who was very kind and loving to me. And I got to experience a lot of different things throughout my time there. We went to Europe for a three week tour, we sang for many churches in five different countries, we just got to have a lot of fun going into a bunch of different, different churches. It was just a really good time, really good experience. I studied at the University of Seville and I took courses there that transferred back to Bethel, which was really nice. It was really fun, because obviously, there was a cultural experience and vacations and exploring all that. But it was also a chance for me to meet other people in the school and different educational experience as well. This was like our first time traveling out of the country. And so it was neat to just see the different things that we all picked up from the different cultures. It seems like we all got to get to know each other a lot better, and just became better friends with everyone people who I normally didn't hang out with during the college year. I got the chance to hang out and get to know them more on this trip.
